Alcudia Beach Hotel
Alcudia Beach Hotel

The Hotel staff were very indifferent, one or two were fine but could not careless attitude of the others spoilt the holiday. The TV in our room did not work for two days, we were told the whole system was down. We were told when we could go in the restaurant but the food choice was limited as earlier diners had had their fill. Would we go again NO

Great hotel and very helpful staff, must be as this was our second visit and we will be returning in October. We booked half board and the food was excellent with plenty of choice for both breakfast and evening meal. Safe location just about a 5 min walk from the beach with Alcudia centre about a 20 min flat walk. As cyclist they have a safe place to keep your bike for a small deposit. Nice big pool to relax on.

Stayed here for 11 days and enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and smelling fresh throughout. Room was cleaned daily which was great. Staff throughout were very friendly and pleased to be of help whatever the problem. A bonus was the entertainment which was changed nightly and was excellent (mostly). Hotel was within a short walk from all amenities including the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby . We highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is well located with the Beach only about a flat 5 minute walk, with lots of surrounding supermarkets, shops & restaurants. Very friendly staff and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Great value for money. Stayed for 4 nights with my daughter on a D/B/B basis and always a good variety of food. Plenty of sun beds although we were slightly out of season, but with the beach on your doorstep, you have the best of both ways. Beds on the beach are approx €6.50 a day. Rooms are cleaned daily and beds very comfortable.

Good quality of usual hotel services and facilities. Excellent and kind reception desk. Everyday room cleaning. Evening animation for adults: shows, concerts, live music. Variable dinner offer.Hot and cold dishes, salads, vegetables, sweets. Local or theme dishes.

Came here with my 12 year old daughter for a relaxed holiday and we’ve had the best time. Hotel is very clean and central to everything you need, pubs, restaurants and shops all minutes away. The staff are so lovely and really go above and beyond for guests. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable and I found the bar very reasonably priced. Can’t fault the food either a good variety and fresh- the restaurant staff work extremely hard. A perfect hotel for families and couples. We will definitely be returning next year!

This hotel smells lovely! Our room was fresh and clean and all have balconies. All the staff from reception to waiting and chefs are friendly and efficient. We enjoyed all our breakfasts and dinners. There is plenty of choice, some items cooked fresh in front of you and for vegans ( not us) there was a whole section, all clearly labelled. There was an excellent choice of wines, cocktails etc and my husband was delighted that there was a good alcohol free beer available. There was live music in the bar/ lounge every evening. Just a short stroll to the beach and bus stop ( we went to Alcudia old town and Port de Pollenca by bus)

Excellent hotel, clean, friendly and a good location. Maid Ramona brilliant . Reception very helpful. Good buffet breakfast. Good entertainment on an evening. Would definitely stay at this hotel chain again . Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice . Sat out on the deck where the sauna and jacuzzi was .

Just returned from a week at js sol de alcudia. First time abroad in 20 years. Everything from start to finish was fantastic . The room was small but fine, great view of pool, and cleaned everyday. The buffet food was fantastic, i’m a really fussy eater but always left after breakfast / dinner full and satisfied. The hotel staff from cleaners , reception and catering were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough. We booked greece for the same time next year but have cancelled this and are returning to js sol de alcudia but for 10 nights rather than 7… can’t wait!!!

Booking with Classic Package Holidays our group of 11 cyclists flew from Teesside Airport to get here using the basic Lauder Airlines, left standing on a cold and breezy runway for 30 minutes+ whilst they let the passengers off before we could board, that’s a new one for me and good job it wasn’t raining!? Espanol flight crew were almost unintelligible in their announcements, speaking at 1000mph in heavily accented Spanglish is never going to go down well on a safety brief! Arrived at Palma Airport at 12:30pm, cases collected quickly but no meet and greet staff to tell us where to pick up the transfer coach or anything(!) so our group were left to figure it out (we did eventually but not good!) and spent an hour+ on the coach before the usual latecomers arrived, what numpties and then we could finally leave!Transfer to our hotel took longer than our flight(wtf!) with an extensive route around the island (dropping off the latecomers first to add insult to injury!). Really late in the day (6pm+) before we got to our hotel and which delayed the delivery of our hire bikes together with any chance to test ride them until the following day, not ideal and we’d not eaten since breakfast, with thoughts of cannibalism setting in, where’s those latecomers!? Took longer than it should have done to check in due to the hotel’s confusion over the booking, but got there in the end, but never again with Classic Package Holidays! So the hotel, claims to be four star but is really a three star pretending to be as most do at this level. It’s obviously been ‘trendily’ revamped on a budget so the rooms are bright and clean and seem alright, if you don’t look too hard. Rooms have a bathroom but no bath, just a shower, sink and loo, but that’s no deal breaker. Bugbears are at evening meal times if you want a drink of water it costs €2.70 for a small bottle, which irks for one of life’s essentials, comparatively it’s ‘only’ €3.50 for a beer, go figure!? After meal teas or coffees are charged too, what!? Room safes cost €4.50 a day or €27 a week with a €5 deposit, a scam in my opinion and doesn’t reflect well on the hotels regard for guest security if you have to pay for that service, makes you wonder who the real thieves are!? Pretty much anywhere else (other than Spain!?) these aforementioned beverage and security service features are included as part of the package without additional charge. Usually in decent four star hotels you get a selection of bathroom accoutrements (shower caps, ear buds, soap, etc.) but nada here save an on the wall liquid soap dispenser reluctant to discharge its contents, though you can apparently request ‘things’ (unspecified) from reception. There’s aircon in the room but it’s noisy and not very effective alas!Anyway enough of the moans for now, food selection is really good and the quality seems fine, which impressed me compared with some other hotels I’ve stayed at. Waiter service is good, being attentive and accommodating (a table seating our 11 was set aside and reserved each day for our group of cyclists) and the food is self service as is the norm these days. Rooms are cleaned daily and that service seems good. Hotel bar is fine with proficient and conscientious barmen on duty. Evening entertainment is decent (so I’m told by my other group guests as it’s not my thing). The hotel is quite noisy given its location so those seasoned travellers like me know to bring (wax) ear plugs to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep and essential here I’d say, but unfortunate you should need to do so anyway. As a group of cyclists we were told you can’t put your bikes in your rooms (oh!) but have to use a bike shed attached to the hotel which is accessed using your room card key, once programmed by reception on request. The outer gate and shed door locks work from the room card key. The hotel do charge €5 or so (what a surprise!) for the cheapo padlock to the fixed security cable but I used my own Hiplok armoured cable tie locks which I could thread through the security cable and would otherwise recommend bring your own lock and cable to ensure better security if you bring your own bike especially, but same applies to hire bikes really too. The bike shed does have a compressor tyre inflator limited to only 80psi, a selection of tools and a pressure washer but I always felt some apprehension going to pick my bike up if it was going to be there, though the shed does have a camera installed.Other issues to note are that of the two hotel lifts only one was working accommodating just four guests only, five at a squeeze and is really slow (update, the second larger lift has now been fixed 4 days into the holiday – happy days!). Checkout for us via our tour company was 03:15am so not good due to an early flight, not the hotel’s fault but galling for us, though credit to the hotel that they did lay on a light breakfast! Overall the hotel is what it is and doesn’t fall short, save for the aforementioned issues and the staff are generally nice and accommodating. For us as cyclists, out each day, the hotel served its purpose. If you’re looking for a quiet hotel with a little more quality overall then perhaps look elsewhere? …
