Went on the beach several times. Lovely beach, lovely sand. Sea was great to swim in. Loads of people having a great time. Plenty of sunbeds. On one occasion became infested with small, biting black flies causing a mass exodus from the beach… very unpleasant.

Please DO NOT come here, (unless you want to be eaten alive).
The whole place is just overrun with mosquito swarms and there’s NO let up from it.
There’s even a bar called “mosquito”.
There are some nice spots here such as the old town and beach but hell, you pay a human price.
The local chemist do a roaring trade in repellents, cortisone creams, etc, etc. I actually think that the locals all see it as some kind of a standing joke, but when you’re paying good money to have a relaxing holiday the joke soon wears off.
Came for a week, but wanted to jump on the plane back home after 2 days.
AVOID, AVOID AVOID.

We walked into the port via the beach path which was very nice. The beach itself looked clean with plenty of toilets along the way.

Overpriced island, we decided to visit the island end of September and certainly won’t be in a hurry to return
Tourism tax, not sure why tourists are paying tax when they are visiting and spending Money here
We found that it’s very expensive here average price for an alcoholic drink is around 10 euros and to eat out was very expensive, the two restaurants we visited we found the staff very rude and would not recommend these restaurants a burger with chips (basic) you’ll pay around £18

Stunning stretch of sand. Crystal clear water, no waves (which is perfect for kids or those that can’t swim). Has umbrella at a small cost for those that burn easily. Overall a great beach and would recommend to families especially.

While the walled town of Alcudia is the cutest one on the island, I cannot say the same for its beach set some 5 min drive from it.
From a distance it looks postcard like – very long with turquoise sea. However, the beach is so shallow you need to walk very far to be able to swim.
It is suitable for families with young kids, but I did not like it.

A long beach with plenty of places to sit, there is a path along the top of the beach so great access for everyone. Looks like the beach is harrowed every morning to remove any seaweed and a massive choice of sunbeds for 6.5 euros each for the day. Not the clearest of water but if you want sea, sand, showers, food nearby this is the place.

Amazing place to the eye but ruined by mosquitos they are everywhere. No nightlife what so ever .didn’t find anywhere with live music and we searched. Even the bars it was low background music. I am no party animal but even I like a little bit of entertainment. But none to be found .but Amazing restaurants didn’t have a bad meal while there and very reasonable..but would never go back because of the mosquitos and lack of entertainment

Hola. Alguien sabe cuanto cuesta el alquiler de repocera y sombrilla en playa de muro??

Cuánto vale en la playa dos hamacas y una sombrilla de alquiler al día?

Es cierto que hay mucho viento a diario?? Si es Asi es soportable ?? También he leído que a veces huele mal la playa a podrido,, ??no se si sera por algas o por suciedad??

Siempre hace brisa, es el norte de la isla. Tramuntana. Pero en verano, von la calor q hace,siempre se sgradece. En cuanto a oker mal, no digo q algún día de temporal estando las aguas removidas no pueda haber mala olor. Pero yo q he veraneado muchos años allí, siempre he estado maravillosamente.

Buenas tardes quiero ir a esta zona la primera semana de septiembre y me gustaría saber si hay ambiente por las noches o por lo contrario ya no se ve gente. No quiero el mogollón de magaluf pero tampoco el ir y que a las 21 horas no quede un alma en la calle No soy de mucha fiesta pero por lo menos salir y tener una terraza donde tomar una cerveza Gracias de antemano y si me recomiendan alguna otra zona que se asemeje pues os lo agradezco

ESta zona es mucho más tranquila que magaluf y el arenal pero en alcudia playa si que hay chill out y zonas trankis para tomar algo

Hi – we are hoping to visit Alcudia with another family in August. We’ll have tbe kids with us, all 10 & 13. We’d really like self catering apartments around the Port area, with a bit of entertainment for the kids and close to the beach/pubs. We’d also like to walk to the Strip if possible.We’ve never been to Majorca/Alcudia before, so any advice on apartments and nice places to go, would be massively appreciated. We don’t mind (just a little) bit of tack 😉 Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephanie, we visited Alcudia for about 15 years – before moving here. There’s loads to do with kids and the beaches are fab! The port is a good base, nice bars and places to eat in the evening. Plus you’re on top of a 5k sandy beach – great for walking. We always preferred to stay in Alcudia old town. Culturally it’s beautiful. At night you can walk on the old walls – they’re lit. There are markets twice weekly and the bars and eateries are lovely. Then it’s a short cycle or walk to the big sandy beach or coves in the day. Whatever you opt for – hope you have a brilliant holiday 🙂

Ciao a tutti saro in vacanza a maiorca dal 22 settembre al 27 e ho cercato soggiorni a palma e la zona fino a el arenal i prezzi per 5 notti minimo 250 ma in ostelli è possibile cercare una sistemazione all arrivo o meglio prenotare prima?grazie

Ciao, io che vado in vacanza con bimbi preferisco sempre partire con la prenotazione in mano del posto in cui soggiorno. Sinceramente non so se cambiano le tariffe se cerchi direttamente in loco… Buone vacanze
