The food was fast and tasted delicious, we had 2 open sandwiches, super tasty! Fabulous cafe! We would definitely recommend.

I had a lovely crabb – egg – bread 🍤 🥚 , my other half a croissant 🥐 and two cappuccino double shot. Very nice, fresh, good service guy 🤗

Had lunch at the Barbar Bar and was pleasantly surprised by their speed of service and great quality of food. The staff were very friendly and checked our order before leaving – just to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. The food was…delicious. Would love to return again – one day!More

If you find yourself at Vesterbros Torv (Vesterbro Square) halfway down Vesterbrogade from the Central Station you are standing at Vesterbro. On this square (and down the adjacent streets) you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars. Sadly “Barbar bar” is not one to…be recommended. – At least not if you if hungry. Not having visited the place at night when the café is turned into a bar, I cannot attest to the quality of the cocktails. However, if you are hungry, you are way better off visiting another place. We were four people for lunch on a Saturday. All of us had the so called “Shooting Star” (a classic Danish open-faced sandwich – or “Smørrebrød”, with fish fillet, prawns, asparagus etc.). First impression: Not very good! – Terrible infact! – There was a hair in my dressing which – luckily enough – was on the side. The waitress removed the dressing and gave me new one (dressing that is – NOT a new dish). After that experience, none of us felt like eating the food for, as one of my guests commented: just because we cannot see them – this does not mean that there are no other hairs in the food. Upon deciding that we would give the food the benefit of the doubt, we dug in – which by the way we should not have done. The filet of fish was boring, dry, and in my opinion: Not of decent quality. I admit that as a rule you will not get more than you pay for, but is does not mean, that you should not expect a decent quality. The drinks were decent, but the waitress failed to inform us that some beverages were sold out. This information should have been mentioned when issuing us with the menus. Apart from the food though, the decor is actually nice (in its own way), and the location at Vesterbros Torv can, at least in the summer, be very nice – if you can get a place in the sun. Just do yourself a favor and only go there for drinks. – within a radius of 200 meters there are way better alternatives. All in all: For me it is a “been there, done that”-verdict. I will not be returning to eat.More

We were passing by and decided to get our breakfast there. Their smorrebrod were both quite bad but nothing compared to the unfriendly waitress.

Wondered into the restaurant and ordered a steak with braised potatoes and mushroom sauce! It was amazingly delicious! Downed with Newcastle Brown Ale, it made the perfect end of a productive day! The waitress was very courteous and with impeccable English, making my order was…a breeze. Had the opportunity also to talk to the chef…he kept me company? :DMore

To have a beer served ice cold, it must be frozen directly from tap. And it was perfect for this hot summer day. Supported by the happy hour option, we enjoyed the Tex-Mex burger too!

This bar are opposite Obelix, and have fewer seat both in and outside. The waiters have a better understanding of there customers need. Prices are same as the other places around the “Torv” but we felt us more welcome here.

Nice place to just have a couple of drinks and a chat with friends. Just a normal pub which is sometimes just the thing you want on holiday!

We popped in here on our way back to our hotel & glad we did. The service was good, the wine fantastic & the place just had a nice relaxed feel to it

Just wanted a quick snack and beer for lunch. Unfortunately food took forever to arrive and by that time we had to rush it. Shame as food was very tasty just need to get the service sorted out.

Took a seat outside, nice cobbled square area. Took a while for service, appeared to be understaffed with only 1 server. Drinks came quickly, cold and fair price. Food took a very long time, over 40 minutes for some nachos and a salad. People who…placed an order after us were served first, receiving the same dish. They asked if there was a problem with the kitchen and were told there was only 1 person in the kitchen. We eventually received our 3x nachos and 1x salad. Nachos were encapsulated in burnt cheese and inedible. Absolutely disgraceful to attempt to serve that from a bar/restaurant. With even 1 in the kitchen how hard is it to make nachos?Raised the issue with the waiter, he acknowledged immediately, we had them removed from the bill as were not prepared to wait for any replacement food. Salad was fresh and well served, accompanying bread was hard. Waiter was trying but hung out to dry. Chef cannot be called a chef and has no right to serve food to paying customers.More

Looking for en evening meal we stumbled across this place. Lovely steak and proper homemade chips. Good value. Well worth a visit.

This place was close to my hotel. They have a little plaza area where you could sit out side or you could sit inside the bar. They had a really great atmosphere and good music.
