We’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times , we like the location near the bus stop and sea front . There’s a good choice of food , our only criticism is that sometimes it could be a bit hotter

Located on the beachfront along the Costa del Sol’s Benalmadena Coast, the 4 star Best Siroco Hotel offers comfortable and modern accommodation in the heart of Benalmadena town. There are two outside pools to enjoy here, one specifically for children, as well as direct beach access via an underground walkway. The hotel’s fitness centre provides guests with a well-equipped gym, as well as some spa facilities such as a sauna and Turkish bath. The expansive terrace set within manicured gardens provides plenty of sunbathing space.

There’s entertainment throughout the day, including live evening performances and games by the pool, and the buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the day, refreshments are available at the hotel’s pool-side bar.

LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO

Benalmadena is known for its long swathes of golden sand beaches, a popular spot to spend the day relaxing on the warm sands, swimming or even trying out some of the water sports on offer. The main hub of the town is home to Tivoli World, a theme park that has fairground rides, night-time performances and illuminated gardens, and a Sea Life centre where all the family can learn about the local marine ecosystem. Castillo de Colomares can also be found just a short walk from the hotel, an architecturally unique castle which offers panoramic sea views.

The popular Spanish resort of Torremolinos is just five km down the road, making its bars and nightlife easily accessible.

FOOD AND DRINK

• The Best Siroco Hotel’s main buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, 7.30am to 10am, lunch, 1.30 pm to 3 pm and dinner, 6.30 pm to 9.15 pm. In the evenings you can expect to see some impressive show cooking, and more formal clothing, such as long trousers for gentlemen, is required.

We stayed here for 5 nights and found the hotel to be satisfactory for what we paid.It is an old hotel that has been modernised over the years and has extensive gardens. The bedrooms are satisfactory but would benefit from some improvements.The hotel is conveniently placed for the beach and easy to access via an underpass.Meals are prepared to accommodate many difficulties nationalities and there are some unusual concoctions.Whilst the hotel is rated as 4* we found it more like a 3*.
